Tanja Spivey

As Director of Tax Incentives at MASSIE, Tanja manages all facets of clients’ state incentive engagements, leveraging her deep expertise in R&D tax credits. She is particularly knowledgeable in complex tax scenarios, including M&A transactions, and is recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in credits for Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee. With involvement in over 500 Southeastern credit projects, Tanja has secured upwards of $130 million in credits for her clients. Her career prior to MASSIE included over eight years at ADP, where she focused on credit calculation and maximization for major clients across various industries, especially in the Southeast. Tanja is a Cum Laude graduate with a B.B.A. from Georgia State University.

Tanja, originally from Bosnia, relocated to the United States at the age of 12 and has since made Georgia her home. She shares a close connection with her large family, which includes 25 first cousins, the majority of whom live overseas. In her leisure time, Tanja treasures moments spent with her husband and daughter, particularly at local arts and crafts festivals. These outings often feature their lovable large dogs, Cash and Roxy, who tend to be the center of attention.
