Luke Kalarickal, Esq.

Director of Tax Credits

As Director of Tax Credits at MASSIE, Luke combines his tax, legal, and engineering expertise to deliver efficient, high-quality R&D tax credit services. He has worked with clients ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies across a wide range of industries, including pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, communications, software, and financial services. To say the least, Luke is well-versed in the R&D tax credit lifecycle. With a focus on technical analysis, documentation, and IRS audit support and resolution, he helps clients navigate complex scenarios with confidence.

Luke’s background includes over 17 years of R&D tax consulting experience with Deloitte and KPMG, and more than 10 years of engineering experience, giving him a uniquely technical and legal perspective on maximizing R&D credit outcomes. After graduating from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art with a B.E. in Chemical Engineering and becoming a licensed Professional Engineer, he went on to earn his Juris Doctor from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. He is admitted to the Bar of New York and New Jersey.

Outside of work, Luke can often be found playing games and spending quality time with his family, including his wife, three sons, and their dog, Lady Vader (yes, as in Darth). He also enjoys movies, reading, sports, and traveling.
