David Cook

As a Financial Analyst at MASSIE, David excels in handling complex financial scenarios, particularly managing, organizing, and analyzing large datasets for federal and state R&D tax credits. As MASSIE’s resident math expert, he is responsible for the most technically challenging computations. His career in the tax industry began at a national tax consulting firm as a statistician focused on R&D tax credits, where he later advanced to lead a team of data analysts and statisticians. David holds a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from Old Dominion University and an M.S. in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Originally from Florida, David has lived in over 20 different locations, now settling in Houston, Texas. Outside of work, he enjoys spending quality time with his family, traveling, playing games, watching movies, and immersing himself in a good book.
